What started your interest in music?

Initially it was my mom. She was a singer and dancer when she was younger and it filtered down to me .

Who did you liked working most in your career and why?

Steve Winwood by far was the artist I liked working with the most. He has always been one of my idols and his approach to shows is something that has stayed with me for over 30 years.

What do you like most about blues music?

I STILL feel it's one of the purest forms of music there is, IF you write your story OR write your observation of a story. I believe that's what keeps the genre alive, having people feel the hurt and happiness that you convey from your own experiences.

Do you have a favorite guitar and gear?

Yes I am a Delaney Guitar endorser and I even have my own signature model. Kije Delaney is based in Bastrop Texas and his guitars are second to none...I also Love and endorse Seagull/Godin acoustic guitars...spectacular and I have used Marshall amplifiers for 50 years. I also LOVE T-Rex effects.

What is the inspiration for making 'Bad Movie'?

Bad Movie is the true story my last 8 month at the end of a momentous relationship that I had been in for almost two years and it was also an observation of the disjointed political situation in the United States. Jon Tiven wrote lyrics coming from the perspective of an observer and they are truly some of the best lyrics I've ever been honored to sing.

Where did you record 'Bad Movie'?

It was recorded at one of my favorite studios "Sound Emporium" in Nahville, TN

Why vinyl?

I miss the old days...reading liner notes, seeing the artwork and this is a perfect way to recreate that special piece of art and music.
